LADISK + LASDI Oprema

This is the documentation for the laboratory equipment catalogue at https://oprema.ladisk.si. It records what equipment the laboratories hold, where each item is kept, and who currently has it.

Every item carries a QR sticker. Scanning it opens that item’s page, which is where equipment is checked out and returned. Nothing else has to be filled in anywhere; the catalogue is the record.

If you only want the two-minute version, read Getting started and stop there. The rest of the guide is for when something is not obvious.

Who can do what

Permissions come in tiers, and each tier includes the one below it.

Tier	What it adds
User	Browse the catalogue, check equipment out and back in. Sees what an item is and whether it is free.
Manager	Add and edit equipment, add and rename locations, run the sync, print labels, approve new accounts. Also sees who holds what, where it is, its history and its tracker.
Admin	Everything else the interface offers: setting roles, blocking people, deleting a location, answering another lab’s borrowing requests.
Superuser	The Django admin underneath the app, which edits records directly.

A student is a user who has been given a mentor. The permissions are a user’s; the difference is that their mentor is told when they take equipment out, sees it alongside their own, and can take equipment out on their behalf.

Alongside the tier, every person and every item belongs to a lab, and both have to be satisfied before anything happens. See Labs.
